This Chalice was donated into the Church of Preobrazhensky Regiment. That regiment vigorously acted for enthronement of Catherine I after the death of Peter I in January of 1725. The four oval gilded icons are fixed on the cover of the body of the cup with images of the Mother of the God, Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and the Russian Orthodox cross. On the cover of the stand are fixed four oval gilded icons with images of: Crowning, Carrying of the Cross, Praying for the Cup and Whipping.
