A quadrangular belt (plaque) depicts the struggle of a man and a fantastic animal. The plate is made in Sarmatian polychrome (or “gold-turquoise”) animal style. The relief depicts a predatory cat that has fallen on its front paws. In the center is the figure of a man of the Mongoloid type, struggling with a beast or sitting on it. He is dressed in a belted shirt with wide sleeves and pants; the hair is combed back and gathered in a chignon on the back of the head. On three sides of the plaque, the image is surrounded by a border of pentagonal festoons. On the head, torso and legs of the beast, in other parts of the plate, nests for non-preserved color inserts are visible.
The functional purpose of the exhibit: the plate could serve as a decoration for the male front belt.
