The rectangular, with a rounded top icon is made of steatite with a low-relief image of the Mother of God standing upright with her hands raised in prayer. Rim around the edge is slightly protruding. On the sides of head of the Mother of God there are her traditional monograms in Greek: “Μ(στη)p / Θ (εο) υ” (“Mother of God”)
