The capital (from lat. Caput – the head; the upper part of column) with a carved ornament in form of acanthus (or a plant) and a stem is a fragment of decoration of the Assumption Cathedral in Vladimir.
Acanthus leaf, similar to a bear's paw, served as pattern for architectural ornament with the same name “Acanthus”.

More information...

The Assumption Cathedral in Vladimir was built under Prince Andrey Bogolyubsky in 1158–1160 of high-quality white stone.
Craftsmen sent by the German Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa took part in construction and decoration of the Cathedral with white stone carving.
During the reign of Andrew's son, Prince Vsevolod the Great Nest (1176–1212), on three sides were added galleries to the Cathedral. The Cathedral became a symbol of power and might of the Princes of North-Eastern Rus’ (Russia). Subsequently, it served as an architectural model for the Moscow’s Assumption Cathedral – the main temple of the Russian state.
