Endscraper

The scraper was made on a yellow-brown flake, the blank contains natural limestone inclusions. The scraper blade is located on its long side and is slightly convex. The scraper retouching is high and uneven. The base is not massive, it was not difficult to mount such tool into the handle. Flint scrapers were widely used by humans throughout almost the entire Stone Age and even later. They were used to process hides at various stages of their dressing, sewing, woodworking and boneworking. Often the blade was combined with some other working element - a burin, a puncture or a point, a notch for cutting.
Its functional purpose: a multifunctional tool for working with materials of various hardness – hides, wood, bone.
