Endscraper

The scraper was made on a small blade of yellowish flint, on the back of the blank there are remnants of a natural lime crust that covered the groove from which the plate for the manufacture of this tool was broken off. The blade is very straight and symmetrical. The retouching is large, there are traces of microflaking on the working edge from using of a scraper in daily life. One edge is straight, the other is uneven, without traces of retouching. The second end is intensively narrowed. It is likely that this tool was used mounted to a handle made of bone, horn or wood.
Functional purpose: a multifunctional tool for working with materials of various hardness – hides, wood or bone.
This is a common tool for Paleolithic period.
