The angle burin or alternatively dihedral burin was made on a rough elongated chip of light flint pebbles, the surface of which retains traces of natural limestone crust. Such tools were obtained by applying two oblique blows to the end of the blank. The intersection of the chips formed a narrow working incisor edge. The working edge is located on the long axis of the tool. The chips are rough, the cutting edge has gouges. The edges of the tool are not very smooth, one edge is slightly convex. This tool is large, the lower end is broken off, in ancient times it was divided into three parts. With this massive burin, it was possible to cut deep grooves in hard materials – tusk, bone, wood, to cut thick hides, etc. Functional purpose: a common tool for creating grooves and slots in different materials. This is a very common tool for the Paleolithic period.
