Backed edge bladelet

This is a blade made of transparent flint of regular shape and regular back facets, its one edge has been cut with a medium-sized, smooth, abrupt retouch that does not change in fact blade’s shape. This edge is slightly beveled towards one end. The other edge is straight and has no special treatment. Both ends have been broken off. This plate could be used as an insert for a composite tool, where it would be fixed in a groove or the split end of a shaft. The functional purpose of this plate is to be used as a composite tool insert. It is a common find at sites from the Upper Paleolithic period in Eurasia.
